Not so DIY project#65, Chrome headlight cover... (archive)

...This is one of those projects that completely flames my ass. This is the first day of my vacation, and this is the first project, also the one I was most looking forward to working on, and it completely SUCKS. I spent the better part of 3 hours removing the headlights, heating and removing the lens covers, prepping and bonding the chrome film with the bonding iron... all for what!? I thought this was going to be a real eye catcher! What an anti-climax!! The difference is not even noticeable!! Don't try this at home kids because it's a complete waste of time. Sorry for putting you guys through all this, but I felt the overwhelming need to vent. This is another project failure:^(
