DIY project#63. Pistol grip shift knob... (archive)

...Here are the pix of my custom contoured shifter. It's perfectly molded to my hand(even has my palm print embedded in it). As you can see from the first pic, I tried chrome paint on it. It's so humid here in Alabama, the paint wouldn't harden(even baking it with halogen lamps didn't help)so it's black for now. It's not much to look at, but it feels good in the hand, So I guess this is a case of form following function;^)
