X5 Accessories Galore (archive)

Went by my dealer today to order receiver plug cap with BMW logo (Part 71 60 0 029 672 $4.25) for my Drawtite hitch, and while there picked up copy of new SAV Accessories catalog. I had not seen a lot of what is available, and was quite surprised.

There is a neat rear bumper step (Part 82 11 0 029 671 $40.00) which I guess is to give you a boost up to wash the roof or load bikes...

If you are into the Aerodynamic kit thing, looks like BMW offers about everything you would want, including the rear apron shown below as part of the kit. Wide fender flares and door moldings are also available (and to me look like the QX4 moldings)

Also new to me was a front decorative skid plate (painting required) (Part 82 11 021 339 $190.00). Shown with it is a fitted smoked acrylic shield (Part 82 11 0 026 943 $75.00)

Also offered are black non-slip protective running boards ($595.00), in addition to the brushed aluminum boards. Same width as the aluminum, shown as 3.5 inches.

Carbon Fiber-look Door Accents for your B and C pillars are $129.00 for the set of six (Part 82 11 0 029 670)

You can replace your rearview mirror with one containing an integrated digital compass ($295). Might be handy when you got out of your NAV coverage or lost on Bear Mt.

Lots of other toys, even a $495 wood picnic table that rolls up into a carry bag.

If you haven't seen all this stuff, it might be worth your time to go by your dealer and pick up the catalog.
