We put the vests in our 1996 328is because it didn't have the heated seats like our E34 did. They keep your butt warmer, but, IMHO, they destroy the design of the seat. They filled the seating area and brought it flush with the bolsters, so I was no longer sitting IN the seat, I was sitting ON it. I put up with this for several years, then ordered full sheepskin covers (from bavauto.com) since my wife gets the newer car (X5) most of the time, therefore I get to tweak the E36 (New Bridgestone S-02 Pole Position tires are great!)

therefore I suggest either heated seats or full covers over the "vest."

Has anyone on the board tried the sheepskin seat vests listed in the BMW accessory catalog? Thanks in advance for your comments.
